The idea for TreeBlock was born in July 2021, inspired by trees. Some of the founders, already active in a project by an NGO dedicated to tree planting, developed a platform to facilitate the purchase of carbon credits for this organization. This directed them towards specializing in corporate sustainability. TreeBlock was officially established in July 2023.
After years of research and development, we have become the company we are today, but our journey has just begun. Early Milestones and Capital Increase
In 2022, we expanded our team with the arrival of key figures such as the Chief of Partnerships and the Chief of Sustainability. We also welcomed the Chief of marketing, laying the foundation for future development. In the first half of 2023, we received a significant award, being recognized as the best startup at the University of Milan – Bicocca. We also formed a crucial partnership with Microsoft for Startups.
A pivotal moment in our history was the pre-seed round in the second half of 2023, which allowed us to raise around half a million euros. This provided the necessary resources to accelerate growth and support new projects. With the support of forward-thinking investors, we were able to expand our team, invest in new technologies, and strengthen our market presence.
Team Expansion and Progress
In the first quarter of 2024, we welcomed 13 new team members, expanding expertise across all departments.
In the second quarter of 2024, we established 21 new partnerships and launched the BETA version of our product. We positioned ourselves as leaders in the corporate sustainability software sector. Additionally, our network of clients and companies surpassed 100, reflecting the growing recognition and trust in our services. June 2024 was a significant month for us, as we released the TreeBlock One Software.
