2026 Milan Marathon: TreeBlock Runs for the Right to Education in Senegal
On April 12, 2026, TreeBlock participated in the UniCredit Milan Marathon alongside Janghi OdV and Innovamey, contributing to the “Marathon26 x School for All” campaign to guarantee a year of schooling for 20 boys and girls in Senegal. A concrete action within the social dimension of ESG, where corporate commitment translates into measurable impact on people.
A race with meaning
TreeBlock took part in the UniCredit Milan Marathon, one of Italy’s most popular sporting events, choosing to do so in a way that best represents our vision: by transforming a high-profile event into an initiative with tangible social impact.
We ran alongside Janghi OdV and our partner Innovamey, as part of a team of 100 runners mobilized for a specific goal: to ensure access to and continuity of education for boys and girls in Senegal.
The cause: “Marathon26 x School for All”
The campaign—supported on Rete del Dono—aims to fund one year of schooling for 20 new children in Dakar. The cost to cover enrollment, educational materials, and academic support is €160 per child, for a total goal of €3,200.
Behind these numbers lies the work Janghi’s been doing since 2013: over 700 students have already been supported on their educational journey, and nearly 200 boys and girls are now actively involved in school projects across Italy and Senegal.
Why TreeBlock Exists
Sustainability isn’t just about carbon accounting, emissions scopes, and CSRD reporting. The “S” in ESG—the social dimension—is a structural component of what we measure, communicate, and build every day with our clients.
Participating in the Milan Marathon alongside Janghi and Innovamey meant the following for us:
Translating values into action: a company’s social impact is also measured by the concrete choices it makes outside its core business.
Building networks: for-profit and nonprofit organizations, industrial partners and third-sector organizations, individuals and companies—real impact always stems from collective effort.
Sustaining an educational commitment: access to education is one of the most powerful drivers of sustainable development (SDG 4) and one of the clearest catalysts for every other goal of the 2030 Agenda.
The Value of Meaningful Team Building
Running together, training together, and covering 42.195 km in a relay race is more than just a sporting experience. It’s a moment when the team finds a sense of purpose that goes beyond the professional results of a single quarter. It’s corporate volunteering in its most authentic form: not a “side” initiative, but a shared experience that fosters a sense of belonging, motivation, and awareness.
The numbers for the 2026 edition
100 runners competing for Janghi
Partner companies involved: TreeBlock, Innovamey, Adecco, Yottaworld, Bravo, Deloitte
Campaign goal: 20 new children enrolled in school in Senegal
Fundraising: still active in the coming weeks on Rete del Dono
What happens next
The marathon is just a stepping stone. The “Marathon26 x School for All” fundraiser is still open, and every contribution directly translates into a month of school, a notebook, or an enrollment. Janghi has already confirmed that he will participate in the 2027 edition of the Milan Marathon: TreeBlock will be at the starting line once again.
Because social commitment, like environmental and governance commitments, doesn’t end with a single event. It is built, year after year, through consistent choices.
